Emma O’Dwyer is an Irish International Showjumper. Her accolades include, 8 consecutive European Championship appearances, winning 4 team silver medals, 5 Senior Nations Cup caps and 2nd in the 5* Longines Grand Prix of Lausanne.
Outside of the competition ring, Emma is a Chartered Physiotherapist, having completed her degree whilst continuing her riding career. She studied at University College Dublin, achieving the sports scholarship program each of the 4 years.
As a young girl, Emma grew her love for horses through her parents Tom and Joanne at Cappagh House Stables. She started her career in the show ring, competing in working hunter and side saddle competitions, but found more competitive side of showjumping more attractive. She went on to win both the 128cm and 148cm National Championships at the Dublin Horse Show aged 12 and 16 respectively.
Since graduating from young riders, Emma has been competing internationally in Europe and the Middle East, picking up many impressive results along the way. Today, Emma continues to grow her career, staying true to the philosophy, “the measure of who you are is what you do with what you have”.
